Our chief end is “to glorify God by enjoying Him forever”

The woman at the well thought she knew some things about “true worship”.

What do you think worship is? Is worship what happens in church on Sunday? Is it just the part of the service when we sing? Do you think it is an emotional experience, spiritual thoughts, or maybe performing certain rituals?

The fact is, “true worship” is not defined by a place, a feeling, or a ritual. God set the standard for worship in His Word, and the standard is much higher and more rewarding than most of us ever imagine. So to really answer the question, “What does it mean to truly worship God?” the only place to turn is the Bible.

Jesus said…the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.
