faithOne of Christianity’s fundamental doctrines says this: One enters God’s Kingdom Door by faith alone. There may be no clearer Biblical statement of this belief than what the Apostle Paul penned to the church in Ephesus: “By grace you have been saved through faith.”

But perhaps the church hasn’t been as clear regarding how one lives after he’s passed through the door. He must continue to exercise the very same faith that got him in, or he’ll find the Christian life nothing like what it’s cracked up to be.

Just last week, we began a sermon series that will take us through the summer months, a series entitled, “God’s Early Hall of Faith”. This week we will begin at the beginning with the 2nd man ever born, the shepherd named Abel. Come to discover how his life of faith serves as a model for us – if you are abel – argh.
